Air Canada sees ‘exponential’ cargo growth

Air Canada Cargo saw exponential growth in 2021, said vice president, Jason Berry. The carrier reported revenue of $1.495 billion, an all-time high for the division.

He added that during the fourth quarter, the carrier welcomed its first Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft, allowing it to deliver consistent cargo capacity on key trade lanes. It also continued to invest in key areas, expanding its footprint in Frankfurt, and completing the first phase of enhancements to cold chain facilities in Toronto and the continued development of Rivo in the e-commerce space.
