The cargo team at broker Air Partner Cargo’s team has carried out a time-critical delivery of oversized gas insulated switchgear from Tianjin Binhai International Airport to Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers.
An energy company required the GIS Bays urgently for a large-scale project taking place in Algiers, and sea freight was not an option due to the timescale.
The Cargo team in Turkey arranged for the cargo to be trucked from the shipper’s warehouse to the airport and worked closely with the operator to ensure all permits were secured in time. Two back-to-back flights were operated, with the oversized cargo being loaded onto the Maximus AN124 aircraft using its internal cranes.
