FedEx sent humanitarian relief to Venezuela following the earthquake. A dedicated relief flight carried necessity kits for the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM and are expected to support approximately 10,000 people affected by the catastrophic earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24.
The shipment was transported on board a FedEx Boeing 767 that departed from Miami International Airport that landed in Caracas, Venezuela on Sunday, July 19, the first FedEx aircraft operation into Venezuela under recently authorized US earthquake-relief measures.
The kits will provide meals and help address basic hygiene and sanitation needs. Each kit contains water, hydration powder, non-perishable foods, and hygiene items that will be distributed in the state of La Guaira.
