Air Canada’s Janet Wallace is TIACA leader of the year

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has named Air Canadamanaging director of cargo operations and transformation, Janet Wallace, as its 2026 Inspirational Leader. The award was presented at its Executive Summit in Warsaw, Poland in early June.

Sponsored by Cargo Service Center (CSC) India, the Inspirational Leader Award recognizes individuals who inspire others through their leadership, integrity, mentorship, and commitment to advancing the air cargo industry.

The recipient is selected by a panel of emerging air cargo professionals representing the next generation of industry leaders which evaluates nominees based on their ability to inspire others, foster professional growth, champion collaboration, demonstrate authentic leadership, and create a lasting positive impact across the industry.

Janet Wallace impressed with her commitment to mentoring future talent, supporting colleagues, fostering inclusive leadership, and advancing the air cargo industry through collaboration and professionalism.

TIACA chair Roos Bakker, said: “What makes this award particularly special is that the recipient is chosen by the next generation of air cargo professionals. The call for nominations for the 2027 Inspirational Leader Award will be formally announced later this year.
